Orshar Group, one of Israel's oldest and leading private companies in logistics, warehousing, and 3PL supply chain management, announced the appointment of Yair Bitton as CEO of its subsidiary, "Orshar Forwarding."
Bitton brings approximately 25 years of rich management experience in international trade, cargo, and shipping. For about 11 years, he served as CEO of DHL Express Israel, a role in which he led the company's massive growth, established advanced logistics infrastructure, and positioned it as a leader in the Israeli courier and express delivery market. Previously, he served as Head of the Cargo Division at El Al, where he managed the national carrier's air cargo operations in international trade.
"A Lever for Expansion and New Opportunities"
Bitton's appointment is intended to strengthen Orshar Group's international arm, deepen forwarding and customs brokerage services, and expand the company's market share among importers and exporters.
"The extensive experience Yair brings, his deep familiarity with the world of shipping and logistics, and the management experience he has accumulated over the years make him a natural choice to lead Orshar Forwarding," said Ido Goldman, CEO of Orshar Group. "I believe that Yair, together with the management team and employees, will lead the company to continued growth, development, and the realization of its great potential."
Yair Bitton, the incoming CEO of Orshar Forwarding, added: "I am grateful for the trust and the challenge. My first meetings with the people at Orshar reinforced my feeling that the company's potential is immense. I see the role as an opportunity to lead Orshar to the next level, expand its activities, and strengthen its position in the Israeli logistics and forwarding industry while connecting existing strengths with new market opportunities."
