The Consul General of Israel in Dubai, Sami Abu Janeb, conducted a professional and strategic visit to Haifa Port this week. The visit focused on examining the port's advanced infrastructure, promoting its development plans under the Adani-Gadot Group, and engaging in an in-depth discussion regarding the port's integration into the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) initiative.

During the meeting, the port's management presented the Consul with an extensive overview of the port's status as a leading logistics and operational hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. The parties discussed recent geopolitical developments in the region that directly impact global supply chains, as well as the economic potential inherent in expanding cooperation between Israeli ports and Gulf State ports.

The focus of the discussion was the IMEC corridor, designed to create an integrated sea and rail transport and logistics sequence connecting India, Middle Eastern countries, and Europe. Haifa Port, which was acquired by the Indian port giant Adani, serves as a critical connection and terminal point for the maritime segment of the corridor toward Europe.

Port executives and the Consul discussed the port's practical role in strengthening regional connectivity and the operational efficiency required to handle the cargo and transit volumes expected to flow through this strategic route. Following the meeting, the Consul toured the port's docks, closely observing the operational infrastructure and being briefed on the modernization and development plans promoted by the Adani-Gadot Group.

President of Haifa Port, Captain Sumit Chauhan: "We were pleased to host the Consul General of Israel in Dubai at Haifa Port. The Abraham Accords have created new opportunities for regional cooperation, and we believe that the economic and commercial ties between the countries will continue to strengthen. Haifa Port, as part of the Adani Group and as a central gateway in the Eastern Mediterranean, is proud to play a significant role in strengthening trade, connectivity, and cooperation throughout the region."
