Strengthening international cooperation: The Panamanian Ambassador to Israel, Ezra Cohen, conducted an official visit to Ashdod Port aimed at bolstering economic ties and tightening maritime collaboration between Israel and Panama.
During the visit, port leadership briefed the Ambassador on infrastructure developments, showcased advanced technologies and operational innovation, and discussed opportunities for expanding maritime trade routes between the two nations.
Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Ashdod Port, welcomed the visit, noting that Panama serves as a central and strategic maritime hub in global trade. Therefore, strengthening relations between the countries is of great importance to the entire maritime industry. Schneider added that the visit represents another milestone in tightening the port's international relations and expanding commercial capabilities within global markets.
Nissan Levy, CEO of Ashdod Port, added that the port was pleased to present its advanced operational capabilities to the Ambassador. Levy noted his conviction that the meeting will contribute to future collaborations and strengthen professional ties between Ashdod Port and the Panamanian maritime and port system.
