Ben Gurion Airport is recording its peak day of the summer season today (Thursday), with approximately 101,000 passengers expected to pass through the terminals on incoming and outgoing international flights. The high volume of passenger traffic reflects the arrival of the main travel wave of August.
"Kerem and Pardes Parking Lots at Full Capacity"
Following the exceptional volume of activity, the Israel Airports Authority (IAA) reports that the "Kerem" and "Pardes" parking lots have reached full capacity, and heavy congestion in the airport parking lots is expected to continue throughout the weekend.
The IAA requests that passengers and those accompanying them follow the instructions of the ushers on-site and directs drivers to nearby alternative parking lots according to the guidance provided at the scene.
Additionally, drivers arriving to pick up landing passengers are recommended to wait in Ben Gurion Airport's one-hour waiting lot, where parking is free for the first hour.
