Israir Airlines is marking a significant operational milestone today (Thursday, August 6) at Ben Gurion International Airport: the company is operating 90 flights throughout the day and transporting approximately 14,000 passengers in a single day—the highest number in its history.

This operational achievement reflects the company's growth momentum at the height of the summer season and the high demand among the Israeli public.

The company noted that behind this record day are hundreds of aircrew, ground staff, operations, and maintenance employees working around the clock.

In parallel with the summer peak, Israir continues to accelerate its preparations for strategic expansion into the long-haul flight market. Two Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft are expected to join the company's fleet soon, which will be operated on the new direct route to New York. This acquisition will allow the company to significantly increase seat capacity and provide a response to competition on the transatlantic route.

To mark the record day and against the backdrop of the expected opening of the route to the USA, the company's management thanked its employees with a unique gesture: air and ground crews enjoyed a festive American-style lunch (hamburgers and fries) at the operational sites today.

Israir stated that the company will continue to invest in expanding its aircraft fleet and developing new destinations, as part of its vision to expand its foothold in long-haul flights as well.
