Challenge Airlines IL Expands Fleet with New Boeing 747 Freighter

Challenge Airlines has added another Boeing 747 freighter to its fleet in Israel. With its arrival, the company's Israeli fleet now includes four aircraft: three Boeing 747s (including the new addition) and one Boeing 767. The addition of the new aircraft increases the cargo capacity of the 747 fleet in Israel by 50%.

The new aircraft, capable of carrying more than 100 tons of cargo per flight, was welcomed upon landing at the airport with a traditional water salute ceremony. The aircraft will be integrated into the company's routine operations, allowing it to expand flight volume, increase operational flexibility, and provide solutions for a wide range of cargo for importers and exporters in Israel. The fleet expansion is a result of growth in activity volumes and the company's long-term commitment to the Israeli market, while strengthening Israel's connection to international supply chains and trade hubs.

Aviation continuity even in emergencies: Alongside its routine operations, the company plays a strategic role in maintaining Israel's aerial continuity during emergencies, especially during periods when foreign airlines reduce or cancel their operations in the country. The company places its flight capabilities at the service of the state's needs and the Israeli defense establishment.

As part of this activity, essential cargo is transported, including food, medicine, and medical equipment, alongside logistical equipment for the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
