“MSC continues to operate during emergencies as in routine times, out of a commitment to serve Israel's ports continuously, even during challenging periods and emergency situations, as it has done over the past two and a half years,” clarified Lea Bogatch-Genossar, CEO of MSC Israel, this morning.

It should be noted that MSC is the world's largest shipping company, and its operations in Israel rely on a broad logistics infrastructure that includes the Hadarom Port in Ashdod, the "Medlog" container terminals in Haifa, and Terminal 207 in Ashdod. This infrastructure enables end-to-end supply chain support even under emergency conditions. Therefore, the company's operational capability to integrate ship calls at ports with cargo management at its own inland terminals provides Israeli importers and exporters with a significant logistics anchor that prevents bottlenecks and supply disruptions.

The CEO of MSC noted that the reality on the ground dictates a need for operational flexibility, and accordingly, the company's ships call at ports across all trade routes. “We believe that during these sensitive periods, there is special importance to responsibility and information sharing in decision-making and policy, and our teams and ships are making every effort to continue providing a full and professional response. MSC will continue to operate in Israel, for Israel, and in the service of its customers.”

Bogatch-Genossar further added that “the continuation of full activity is an integral part of the company's responsibility toward exporters and importers, our customers in Israel. We hope and pray for a swift return to routine and the maintenance of security, both personal and economic, even during these times.”

The CEO of MSC concluded by saying that throughout the years, and also during emergency periods, MSC has continued to serve Israeli ports. Specifically since October 7th, the company has added lines to provide the broadest possible response to Israeli customers.
