The Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry announced today (Saturday) that it is working around the clock to ensure the continuity of supply for essential products and services to all Israeli citizens, amidst the emergency situation on the home front as part of "Operation Lion's Roar." The ministry's management is conducting regular situational assessments in coordination with the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) and the Home Front Command, aiming to ensure that industry, trade, and imports continue to function normally.
Minister of Economy and Industry, Nir Barkat, stated in his announcement: "In these challenging days, the Ministry is utilizing all tools at its disposal to ensure functional continuity and maintain the economic security of Israel's citizens. We call on the public to follow the Home Front Command's instructions and avoid hoarding products—stocks are available and systems are operational. We strengthen the IDF and security forces and express appreciation to the residents of the home front for their responsibility and resilience."
Economic Status: Retail Chains and Industry
According to Ministry of Economy data, all factories defined as essential continue continuous production. Retail chains are open and operating as usual, subject to safety guidelines, and there is no shortage of food or basic consumer goods.
The Ministry emphasizes that Israeli industry, retail chains, and suppliers are operating in full coordination with government authorities and are prepared to activate emergency protocols as required.

As part of the systemic preparation, the Ministry of Economy and Industry has opened a dedicated hotline at *6586, available to the public and the business sector.
The hotline provides a wide range of responses, including information on price-controlled product rates during emergency periods, details on the continuous operation of various industrial plants, as well as vital updates and assistance regarding import, export, and business management under the conditions of uncertainty during the campaign.
