Challenge Airlines Israel has announced a transition to full emergency mode and the activation of a dedicated operational plan to maintain Israel's air connectivity. Following the onset of security events, the company's fleet was deployed to ensure logistical links to strategic destinations in Europe and the USA, against the backdrop of a significant reduction in flight options from foreign airlines to Israel.

Operational activity focuses on the transport of essential shipments supporting civil resilience, including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and food products. The system's goal is to ensure the nation's food and health security and prevent bottlenecks in the supply chains of raw materials and essential goods for the economy. The company's air and ground crews are operating on tight schedules and under strict security restrictions to enable the continuous flow of cargo at Ben Gurion Airport.

According to Udi Sharon, CEO of Challenge Airlines Israel, the company has mobilized all its systems for the national effort, with the first plane taking off only about 18 hours after the events began. Sharon noted that the company is working in coordination with state authorities and the Israeli Air Force to serve as a reliable air bridge during this period of uncertainty. Additionally, the company updated that a Challenge aircraft carrying humanitarian equipment is scheduled to land at Ben Gurion Airport today at 4:30 PM.

Logistically, the continued operation of an Israeli cargo airline with its own fleet (Maindeck capacity) is critical for Israeli importers and exporters. While belly cargo capacity in passenger planes has decreased dramatically due to passenger flight cancellations, dedicated cargo aircraft provide the necessary solution for transferring heavy and urgent shipments that cannot wait for the security situation to stabilize.

The company's preparedness is designed to prevent long-term damage to the Israeli economy by maintaining ties with target markets abroad. The ability to operate regular cargo lines under fire is a central pillar of the Israeli Ministry of Transport's "functional continuity" strategy, allowing the business sector to continue minimal foreign trade activity even during emergency periods.
