On the eve of the Passover holiday, considered the most significant period of the year in the cookware and kitchenware industry, Soltam—owned by the Mayo family and Sky Fund—announced the transfer of its entire logistics operations management to Logisticare, part of the Maman Group. The scope of the engagement is estimated at tens of millions of NIS per year, and the agreement was signed for a two-year period with an option to extend for an additional two years.
According to Ron Knobel, Co-CEO of Soltam: "The choice of Logisticare stems from its ability to provide a comprehensive logistics solution at the high standards we require, combining technology, operational experience, and the mental flexibility suited to the nature of our operations."
Until now, Soltam managed its logistics array through a central warehouse under its direct management alongside assistance from several other logistics centers across the country. Now, for the first time, the entire array will be concentrated under one roof in Logisticare's innovative and advanced logistics center (Marlog), spanning an area of approximately 12,000 square meters in an industrial zone near Beit Shemesh.
According to Knobel: "The transition to a single central logistics hub constitutes a significant step in the company's strategy to improve service quality and operational efficiency, and to adapt logistics infrastructure to the company's planned growth rate across all sales channels in the coming years."
Under the new agreement, Logisticare will centralize all storage, management, and distribution of Soltam products, providing the company with a full logistics envelope. This includes comprehensive supply chain management, from transporting products from the ports, through warehousing, picking, and inventory management, to distribution across all the company's activity channels, including its retail chain of 72 branches nationwide, the wholesale sector, activities with workers' unions, and online sales.
Zeev Mansour, CEO of Logisticare, noted: "We are proud of the partnership with Soltam, a leading brand with a significant heritage in the local market. The choice of Logisticare to manage the logistics array follows a series of strategic agreements the company has recently signed with Electra Trade, Electra Retail, Magen David Adom (MDA), and El Al."
