DSV, the global freight forwarding and logistics giant, is moving fast. While the global market digests the implications of the massive merger with Schenker—a move that made the group the world's largest supply chain player with a presence in over 90 countries—the Israeli branch is already backing this massive growth with physical infrastructure on the ground.

In a special customer tour held last week, the company unveiled its new logistics center in the Yoav Industrial Park, representing a strategic step in expanding DSV's service array and infrastructure in Israel.

DSV noted that the choice of the strategic location in Yoav Park (Masmiya Junction), adjacent to Highway 6 and only a 20-minute drive from the ports of Ashdod and South port, was intended to create "port continuity," significantly streamlining the supply chain for importers and exporters.

The new logistics center spans approximately 12,000 square meters, including 10,000 square meters with a height of 14 meters, about 11,000 storage positions, and 2,000 square meters of gallery space. It offers advanced storage areas, temperature-controlled solutions, inventory management via advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and direct interfaces with customer systems.

It was further reported that the site's service portfolio includes container receiving and stripping, picking and packing services for B2B and B2C models, handling special projects including porterage and packing, and a wide national distribution network to any destination in Israel.

It should be noted that this center complements DSV's existing deployment at sites in Airport City and Mevo Carmel.

Sigal Manheim-Katzovich, CEO of DSV Israel, clarified during the meeting that the global merger requires an uncompromising level of logistical resilience. "As leading players in the Israeli forwarding field and the largest customs brokerage in Israel, the service provided by the new logistics center joins a comprehensive envelope of solutions we offer our customers," she noted.

Avi Liberman, Manager of the Logistics Center, referred to the operational vision and emphasized "the ability to provide customers with real added value based on principles of listening and adapting infrastructure and processes to their unique needs."
