Two large K-Line container vessels called at the port of Ashdod after years that the company by-passed the port
The first vessel, a TEU 3,500 "Savona Bridge" will regularly call Ashdod as part of direct service from the Far East to Israel.
The second ship, the car carrier "Jade Arrow" built by Mitsuibishi Heavy Industries, and operated by Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha.
Iris Shtark the port of Ashdod chair person expressed her satisfaction on the company's decision to return to the port. She added that the direct service will drastically cut transit time from the Far East.
