As part of the company's expansion in its main destinations, alongside meeting high demands for London, El Al now announces an increase in its flight schedule for the upcoming winter to Heathrow Airport in London. Heathrow is considered the most sought-after and busiest airport in Europe, and the fifth in the world.
Starting from the end of October, El Al will add another 4 weekly flights to Heathrow Airport, operating for the first time up to 3 daily flights, and a total of 15 weekly flights to the destination. In addition, there will be 5 weekly flights to Luton in London, so the company will operate a total of 20 weekly flights between Tel Aviv and London this coming winter. All flights to Heathrow will be operated by El Al's wide-body aircraft with hundreds of seats to meet the demands.
El Al stated: 'The expansion is designed to respond to the growing demands among the business audience, Jewish and Israeli communities, and the tourism needs between the countries. The increase in the flight schedule to Heathrow Airport, which is considered the most central point in Europe, will allow El Al passengers connectivity to a variety of onward destinations with the leading airlines in the world'.
Shlomi Zefrani, VP of Trade and Aviation Relations at El Al, said: 'This is significant news for our customers - for the first time El Al will operate 15 weekly flights to Heathrow, which is considered the most sought-after airport in Europe.
