MSC Israel has unveiled its innovative iReefer service and a new weekly service to/from FOS port in southern France at an impressive customer event held yesterday at Terminal 207 in Israel's Port Park, near Ashdod Port.
Approximately 200 importers and exporters from the agricultural, pharmaceutical, and food sectors participated in the event, along with customs agents and international shippers. This was part of MSC's commitment to deepening the refrigeration sector in Israel and developing advanced solutions for exporters and importers.
Leah Bogatch Genossar, CEO of MSC Israel, thanked the participants for their participation and emphasized that 2025 was an excellent year for the company in the refrigeration sector, reflecting the success of Israeli exporters in international markets and the growing demand for local produce. "The Israeli market continues to prove itself as significant and dynamic in the international arena, and the impressive presence here today proves how vital this sector is to the growth of the Israeli economy."
The CEO of MSC first presented to the participants the iReefer service, an advanced system for remote monitoring and control of refrigerated containers, which offers several routes and packages and gives customers transparency and control in real time over their sensitive cargo. "The iReefer service is a leap in the ability of exporters to maintain the quality of the cargo throughout the supply chain and to enjoy transparency and control in real time," she noted.
In addition, the CEO of MSC revealed the new direct service line to FOS port in southern France, a move born out of customer demand, and intended for the export and import of agricultural produce, with particularly fast sailing times of 4-5 days and a fixed weekly docking on Wednesdays. Leah Bogatch noted that these two moves express MSC Israel's commitment to innovation, reliability, and providing personalized solutions to the Israeli market.
Adi Schwartz, from the refrigeration department at MSC Israel, elaborated to the participants on the main advantages of the new system and emphasized that "in the logistics world everything can go wrong", and therefore transparency and control are critical. According to her, the iReefer allows real-time monitoring of all vital parameters in the container and gives immediate alerts about deviations. Schwartz noted that the service is offered in three packages, from basic and free to advanced that allows full integration into the customer's systems and today more than 80% of MSC's refrigerated container fleet is adapted to the new technology.
The event also included a guest lecture by Moti Levin, CEO of Haifa Group, who surveyed market trends and their impact on exporters of agricultural produce and other sensitive industries.
It should be noted that Terminal 207, where the event was held, is one of the most advanced logistics areas in Israel, located near Ashdod Port. The complex provides comprehensive solutions for temperature-controlled cargo, storage and customs clearance, and serves as a hub of activity for exporters and importers.
The meeting was hosted by Anat Klika, MSC Israel's Marketing Manager, who emphasized that the event is part of the company's policy to deepen its relationship with its customers and to invest in the development of personalized services and expresses the company's commitment to leading the entire sector forward.
