Mr. Uriel Lynn Chairman, Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce was elected last week for the second time to the board of directors of the Eurochambres.
The Eurochambres is an Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry representing 44 national associations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, a European network of 2000 regional and local Chambers with over 18 million member enterprises in Europe.
At the voting which was held in Norway with the presence of 19 members who are non members of the EU, the following other members were elected to the Eurochambres board of directors: Victor Yanovsky Secretary General, The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine; Nadan Vidosevic President, The Croatian Chamber of Economy; Victor Babiuc President, The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and Bucharest; Rifat Hisarciklioglu President, Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Maritime Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
Following his election Lynn said that the vote was a vote of confidence in the Israeli economy.
Lynn added that his election would contribute to further widen trade and cultural relations between Israel and the EU.
