Flying Cargo, one of Israel's leading companies in the supply chain sector, is expanding its international operations and deepening its services for Israeli exporters who conduct global operations and use logistics warehouses abroad.
The company recently announced new collaborations with leading international logistics providers, including Kerry Logistics and Yusen Logistics, who join existing providers: Arvato, Base Logistics, and Rim Logistics. This will expand its geographical coverage to new markets and offer logistical flexibility in emerging markets.
Flying Cargo noted that the expansion is intended to respond to the growing needs of Israeli companies from industries such as medical equipment, electronics, printing, and security industries, who seek to improve their ability to manage a global supply chain efficiently and quickly.
According to Menuch Shekel, Head of the International Division at Flying Cargo, the company identifies growth in the demand of Israeli companies to operate in international markets, characterized not only by an increase in the volume of activity, but also in the complexity of requirements. He said, "More and more companies understand the need to be close to the end customer in order to streamline the supply chain, especially when it comes to after-sales activity."
"Today, manufacturers cannot leave the end customer without an immediate response. These are some of the lessons of the Corona when bottlenecks in the global supply chain created a shortage. These lessons are learned again due to the security situation that creates similar consequences and today there is difficulty in bringing goods to Europe and other territories in the world, mainly due to major challenges in the geo-political environment, such as the Houthi attacks in Yemen that cause severe disruptions in the maritime trade routes through the Suez Canal. Similar challenges are also expressed in air routes due to the cessation of service of most foreign airlines flights to and from the country."
According to Shekel, Flying Cargo offers its customers a comprehensive service for managing the supply chain from end to end, as the company operates warehouses abroad for its customers through local logistics providers (TPL) and provides them with a unified information system for managing inventory and movements in real time.
Shekel emphasizes that the significant advantage lies in the company's extensive experience and knowledge in operating global logistics partners. "We take on all the 'headache' involved in operating logistics abroad, from warehouse management through optimal shipping solutions, to compliance with local regulations. In addition, we culturally coordinate between our customers and the global suppliers, so the work is done smoothly."
According to him, the services offered by Flying Cargo are mainly suitable for technological manufacturers, such as companies in the medical equipment, technology, communications, renewable energy, and security industries. "The service allows customers to direct most of their attention and focus on developing their business abroad and their growth engines in the various markets, without the need for direct investment in complex logistics management."
Shekel noted that in addition to operations in traditional markets in North America and Europe, Flying Cargo is also expanding in the Far East, where the markets in China and India offer huge potential for innovation and technology from Israel. As well as in markets that are set to open in Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, and the like, as the Trump administration imposes tariffs on trade from China.
"We believe that Israeli manufacturers and exporters need to focus on what they do best - invent, develop, produce and sell, and we are here to take care of everything else," Shekel concludes. "Our goal is to give our customers peace of mind and the ability to operate efficiently and profitably in the international arena, with customized solutions, global knowledge, and rich experience. Flying Cargo continues to establish its position as a strategic partner for Israeli exporters in the international market."
