Szadok Group, one of Israel's oldest and leading companies in the logistics and shipping industry, continues to expand its operations with the activation of a new logistics center in the north of the country. The group recently signed an agreement with Gab-Yam, under which it will lease a logistics building covering a total area of about 14,000 square meters in the industrial park adjacent to the Bay Port in Haifa, for a period of 15 years. The deal is estimated to be worth about 75 million NIS.
The new center is located in Gab-Yam's logistics park in Haifa Bay, which is located near the new port and the city's airport. The park spans a total area of over 100 dunams, with a building quota of about 100,000 square meters for logistics, storage, and industrial purposes.
Yishai Szadok, CEO and owner of Szadok Group, said: "The decision to operate a logistics center in Haifa stems from the group's strategy to allow its customers to receive nationwide service, which will provide a response to all their needs and demands."
It should be noted that the current move joins two other agreements the group signed in the past year, to expand its operations in the south of the country.
The first is an agreement with Israel Ports Company (IPC) to lease an area in the hinterland of Ashdod Port, which includes an open plot of about 15,000 square meters and a covered building of about 3,000 square meters, for the purpose of providing ancillary services for special cargoes.
The second agreement relates to the establishment of a logistics complex on an area of about 60,000 square meters in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, in partnership with the kibbutz and Rekhes Real Estate Company.
It should be recalled that Szadok Group provides a variety of transportation and logistics services, with container terminals and logistics centers located near Israel's sea and air ports, as well as logistics centers in Ashdod, Rosh HaAyin, and Even Yehuda.
The group's CEO concluded by saying that the expansion of operations to the north of the country is another step in the group's strategy to offer nationwide logistics services, and to adapt itself to the changing needs of its customers.
