During the height of the Iron Sword War, while the northern region was under continuous missile attacks, the logistics center of Logistiare in Haifa, which was opened about a year ago during the war, managed to maintain continuous operations, and even increase the volume of work - at a time when many businesses reduced their activities.

In a conversation with PORT2PORT, Logisticare CEO Zeev Mansour said that the center, which specializes in deep-freeze storage and distribution of products, became a strategic point for food suppliers, retail chains, and other economic actors, who were required to continue their activities under complex conditions.

According to him, despite the security situation, the company worked to increase the volume of activity and adapted its work processes to the changing reality. "We immediately understood that the demand for storage and distribution solutions would only increase during such a period, so we worked not only to maintain routine but to expand and recruit new customers."

He added that the company recruited additional manpower to overcome the activity in a second shift, to cope with the load and maintain the level of service to customers. "We had employees who were recruited for reserve duty, but at the same time we received inquiries from new suppliers looking for reliable logistics solutions. We needed to strengthen the team to meet the tasks."

Logisticare's CEO noted that alongside the accelerated recruitment, Logisticare upgraded its operational means, among other things by improving the coordination of distribution with suppliers and customers, strengthening the security system, and strengthening the protected work areas.

In addition, Zeev Mansour noted that the logistics center was under constant supervision of the Home Front Command, the Fire and Rescue Services, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, which examined its resilience to security threats and emergency scenarios. Daily drills were conducted on site, including simulations of direct hits, fire scenarios, and testing the readiness of the workers.

"The struggle with the war emphasized the importance of stable and resilient logistics centers, capable of continuing to operate even under fire. While many businesses in the area reduced activity, at Logisticare they managed to exploit the period not only to preserve the existing but for real growth, with quick adjustments to the security reality. With the end of the fighting, the company is already planning further expansion and preparation for future scenarios, understanding that logistical resilience has become a central criterion for companies operating in the Israeli economy", he concluded.

As mentioned, Logisticare, from the Maman Group, is one of the oldest and leading logistics companies in Israel, providing storage and supply chain management services for various sectors. The center in Haifa, which opened about two years ago, serves as a logistics center for deep-frozen products and is considered one of the largest in its field in the north of the country.
