EXEL the leading international logistic giant and MPL the Israeli logistic provider, signed a multi-million outsourcing agreement with a yet unknown world leader in micro-electronic production, to provide full control over the company’s spare parts stocks.
Mr. Avi Gilboa, deputy director of MPL, in charge of product development, emphasized that the newly signed outsourcing agreement is the first of its kind in the Israeli high-tech sector where the logistic provider will not only provide logistic support in the movement of the spare parts but also be involved in the planning as well as the purchasing of the spare parts.
Mr. Gilboa added that the new outsourcing enterprise is a result of a joint venture made by MPL, EXEL and AVBA ( 2003 ) HI-TECH SERVICES which will combine administrative, logistics and engineering capabilities all geared towards the provision a one stop - shop for the importation, stock management and re-furbishing of units at overseas locations.
EXEL MPL is one of Israel’s leading logistic providers operating from Airport City near by Ben – Gurion Airport. The company is owned by Zim lines, Overseas Commerce and EXEL Plc.
Messers A.V.B.A HI-TECH SERVICES is a subsidiary of the AVBA group of companies operating for the last 16 years from Ramat Gabriel Industrial Park mainly in the provision of specialists services to the microelectronic industry.The company has its affiliated offices in the USA , China and Europe.
