The new freight rate for a 20-foot container will rise by $150 to the East Coast and by $200 to West Coast ports
Zim Integrated Shipping Services announced last week a 10% increase of container freight rates on its US service.
The announcement came a few weeks after AP Moller-Maersk Group A/S announced the closure of its direct Israel-US shipping line.
The new freight rate for a 20-foot container will rise by $150 to the US East Coast ports and by $200 to the West Coast ports, and the rate for a 40-foot container will rise by $200 to the US East Coast ports and by $300 to the West Coast.
