Israeli line Zim Integrated Shipping Services is the latest to press for a second round of rate increases in the Asia-Europe trades.
The general rate increase announced by the carrier is $200 per TEU and covers shipments to North Europe, western and eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic ports and the Black Sea. The GRI kicks in Sept. 1.
In a statement issued by the company it noted that “This increase is essential in order to maintain our current levels of service and high reliability”.
