Zim: NIS 158m profit for the first 9 months

Israel Corp. published last week its consolidated financial report for the third quarter of 2007 indicating total revenue for the nine months amounting to NIS14.7 billion
 
The company posted a net profit of NIS 201 million, down 9% from NIS 221 million in the corresponding quarter of 2006.
 
A breakdown of the contribution of Israel Corp.'s main subsidiaries to the company's third quarter profit show that Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd ended the third quarter with a profit of NIS 158 million compared with NIS320 million for the corresponding quarter.
 
The financial report show that during the first nine months the company's revenue was NIS 11.5 billion from shipping and other services compared with NIS 10.2 billion for the corresponding period.
 
During the accounting period the company moved TEU 1.749 million compared with TEU 1.523 in the corresponding period.
 
In the third quarter of 2007 the company moved TEU 611,000 compared with TEU 521,000 in the corresponding period last year.
