In honor of International Women's Day, the female employees of Bayport embarked on an experiential culinary tour in Wadi Nisnas. These women, who work in a wide range of roles across nearly all departments of the port, play a significant part in its ongoing operations, with many already holding management positions.
The special tour was organized as a tribute to their work and contribution to the port. Since its establishment, the port's policy has been to promote full equality of opportunity for women and to integrate women into senior and influential roles.
Since Bayport began recruiting employees about four years ago, the port's management has set a goal to try and create full equality without discrimination based on sex, religion, race, or nationality. It sees the promotion of women as a central and inseparable value from its vision.
According to the port's Human Resources Manager, Noa Porat Mishaali: "The women at the port constitute a significant and influential force in every field - from operations, through management, to customer service. We are proud to be a port that leads real equality in practice, and continue to work to promote women to positions of influence and leadership."
The port's management noted that during the coming year, additional activities will be held with the aim of continuing to strengthen the integration of women in all aspects of activity, with an emphasis on key and managerial roles. The activity was carried out in collaboration with the port workers' committee on behalf of the National Federation, the chairman of the committee, Amid Azam, added and said that he sees great importance in creating events and activities for the port's employees to create a cohesive and social work environment.
