Israel Ports Company Appoints Hazi Halawi as Chairman

Hazi Halawi has been chosen as the new Chairman of Israel Ports Company, pending approval from the Minister of Transportation and the Minister for Regional Cooperation.

Israel Ports Company has informed the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that during the company's board meeting on April 28, 2025, the board decided to appoint Mr. Hazi Halawi as the company's Chairman.

 

It should be noted that the appointment requires the approval of the Minister of Transportation and the Minister for Regional Cooperation, following consultation with the Appointments Committee.

 

Halawi, a 53-year-old resident of Ashkelon, married with three children, most recently served as the CEO of Ashkelon Municipality. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy CEO of Global Operations at the high-tech company NICE. He is a retired Brigadier General and holds a Master's degree in Business Administration for Executives, a Directors' Course, and various courses from Harvard and Yale colleges in the United States.
