Ashdod Port has successfully completed the complex unloading of a large shipment of dozens of steel rolls weighing over a thousand tons. The rolls arrived in Israel on the ASL ELSA ship, in a shipment that included about 2,317 rolls and was destined for rail transport, which helps reduce emissions and contributes to a greener environment.
A special team was set up at Ashdod Port for the project, led by Ami Merli, Operations Manager, to ensure quick and efficient unloading and loading of the rolls onto dedicated rail cars. The team included two forklifts and two tractors, and the rolls were stored in warehouse 201.
According to Nissan Levi, CEO of Ashdod Port: "We are proud of our ability to provide personalized logistical solutions to our customers, while maintaining efficiency and safety. We will continue to provide excellent service to ships in various segments."
