Chinese Automaker CHANGAN Delegates Visit Ashdod Port in Israel

Representatives from CHANGAN, a leading Chinese automaker, visited Ashdod Port for a business meeting, marking a significant step in strengthening regional cooperation.

Representatives from CHANGAN, one of the leading and largest car manufacturers in the Chinese automotive industry, with high sales turnover and significant growth in the electric vehicle sector, visited Ashdod Port for a business meeting this week.

The management of Ashdod Port hosted the representatives from the Chinese company, including: Chen Hongjian, the regional manager from China for CHANGAN with the DEEPAL brand, Zvi Neta, Chairman of the Motion Devices Group, Oren Ohana, Deputy CEO of Private Cars, Rafi Vitenberg, Import Manager, and Leon Bloom, Parts Department Manager. From Ashdod Port, Nissan Levi, CEO of Ashdod Port, Eli Bar Joseph, Deputy CEO of Ashdod Port Customers, and Eti Elashvili, Sales Manager at Ashdod Port were present.

CHANGAN was founded about 160 years ago and manufactures vehicles. The company continues to invest in advanced technologies and expand its presence in the international market. At the end of 2024, the Motion Devices Group, which is an importer of Suzuki and MAN trucks, began importing CHANGAN DEEPAL (first model DEEPAL vehicles). Since then, about 2,000 vehicles have been imported directly with ZIM to Ashdod Port.

Nissan Levi, CEO of Ashdod Port, said after the visit: "We thank the representatives of CHANGAN for their visit to Ashdod Port.
