Ashdod Port Welcomes US Delegation for Strategic Collaboration

A US delegation visited Ashdod Port to strengthen strategic cooperation, exploring investment plans, future developments, and commercial, technological, and operational collaboration opportunities.

The American Commercial Attaché, Mark Russel, and the American Naval Attaché in Israel, Commander Victoria Moor, led a US delegation that visited Ashdod Port, aiming to strengthen strategic cooperation between the parties. During the visit, the strategic plans of Ashdod Port Company were presented to the delegation members. The visit was part of a broader process led by Ashdod Port to strengthen cooperation mechanisms with the Americans and the American Coast Guard, focusing on the plans of the US and Israel for the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The delegation included representatives from the US Department of Commerce and the maritime security system, including: the American Commercial Attaché, Mark Russel, the American Naval Attaché in Israel, Commander Victoria Moor, James Tira, Economic Officer, Marina Grayson, Economic Officer, John Yosefo, Economic Officer, Hila Lawers - Economic and Trade Expert, and Naama Altman-Meyers, Assistant Commercial Attaché.

During the visit, the strategic needs of Ashdod Port, investment plans, future developments, and opportunities for commercial, technological, and operational cooperation were presented to the delegation members. In addition, the port's multi-year investment plan was presented to promote purchases from American manufacturers, and options for employee participation in unique training programs in the US for management levels, purchasing equipment from American suppliers, and other topics were examined.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ashdod Port, Shaul Schneider, said: 'The visit of the American delegation reflects mutual trust and comes from a joint strategy to deepen cooperation between Ashdod Port and leading American entities. The connection between the two sides will bring significant added value to the port's activity and strengthen the port as a vital strategic facility in the Eastern Mediterranean.'
