Ashdod Port Company publishes its service index - a weekly report detailing the average waiting times of ships at Ashdod Port, as well as activity data at Ashdod Port, including waiting times and truck service.
During the period between April 13 and 17, the average number of ships waiting to enter the port at Ashdod was 13.2, compared to 8 ships the previous week, and the maximum waiting time for ships at Ashdod Port was 10.5 days on average compared to 21 days on average the previous week.
The operational queue for general cargo, bulk and grain stood at 6.6 ships this week compared to 6 ships the previous week.
In addition, during the week, an average of 2,191 trucks entered Ashdod Port per day compared to 3,145 trucks on average per day the previous week, and the waiting time for trucks at the gate was 4 minutes - a slight increase compared to 3.7 minutes the previous week. The total truck turnaround time during the period was 55.4 minutes on average compared to 53.8 minutes on average the previous week.
Ashdod Port Company stated that "the data points to impressive operational functioning at Ashdod Port, with short waiting times at the gate and high efficiency in truck service, which indicate a flowing and orderly system. The total turnaround times also point to the port's ability to manage the flow of trucks quickly, hence a high level of service is maintained at Ashdod Port."
