Ashdod Port Company Publishes Service Index, Reveals Decrease in Operational Queue

The Ashdod Port Company has released its weekly service index, detailing average ship waiting times and operational activity. The report indicates a decrease in the operational queue

Ashdod Port Company has released its service index, a weekly report detailing the average waiting times of ships at Ashdod and Haifa ports, as well as operational data at Ashdod Port, including waiting times and service for trucks.

 

During the period between February 16 and 20, the average number of ships waiting to enter the Ashdod port area was 14.2, compared to 17.6 ships the previous week. The maximum waiting time for ships at Ashdod Port averaged 22 days.

 

According to the Ashdod Port Company, the service index shows a continued decrease in the operational queue, with the operational queue for general cargo, bulk, and grains standing at only 5.2 ships this week compared to 9.2 ships the previous week.

 

According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ashdod Port, Shaul Schneider: "The service index is designed to provide a real-time, accurate picture that will present an accurate image of the situation at Ashdod Port compared to other ports. Ashdod Port Company operates and will continue to operate with full transparency towards its customers and decision-makers and will continue to improve the service for the benefit of the Israeli economy."
