The decision taken by the Be'er Sheva Labor Tribunal is another sign of fight against the nepotism riddling Ashdod Port
Judge Moshe Tuina of the Be'er Sheva Labor Tribunal refused last week to reinstate a port employee who was sacked for concealing family connections at the port company.
The Be'er Sheva Tribunal rejected the motion by Yaniv Dahan, who apparently neglected to divulge that his uncle works at the port when he was hired.
The worker while being hired had specifically been asked whether he had any kinfolk at the company.

Yaniv Dahan argued that his dismissal had been disproportionate to his offense, and was unreasonable. Port management, however, claimed that his dismissal reflected the policy against nepotism, a policy backed by the Israeli Supreme Court.
