The Israeli Customs Authority holidays outline
The Israeli Customs Authority issued a press release, outlining their holidays during the forthcoming Jewish New Year holidays:
Jewish New Year
Wednesday 28th September 2011, New Year's eve, all customs offices will be closed except Ben Gurion airport customs which will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Thursday 29th September 2011 – Jewish New Year.
Friday 30th September 2011 - Jewish New Year.
Yom Kippur
Friday 7th October 2011, Yom Kippur's eve, customs offices will be closed, except Ben Gurion airport customs which will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Saturday 8th October 2011,– Yom Kippur (the Jewish High Holiday of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement)
Succot Holiday [Tabernacles (Jewish religious festival)]
Wednesday 12nd October 2011, Succot Holiday's eve, customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 11:00.
Thursday 13th October 2011, Succot Holiday.
Friday 14th October 2011, customs offices will be closed.
Sunday 16th October 2011, customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Monday 17th October 2011, customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Tuesday 18th October 2011, customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Wednesday 19th October 2011 Succot 2nd Holiday's eve, customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 11:00.
Thursday 20th October 2011, Succot 2nd Holiday.
Customs services at the various border crossings – Egypt & Jordan, will operate in accordance with the special New Year holiday working timetable which will be published by the Israeli Airport Authority.
Since many Customs workers will be on holiday there may be delays in customs clearing.
