Israel Ports Development & Assets Company Ltd. (IPC) announced last week the purchase of two US made Dabur-class patrol boats to be used to improve security of Israel's two main seaports – Haifa and Ashdod.

Mr. Shlomo Braiman, director general of IPC, said that the purchase of the two Dabur-class surveillance boats had been carried out in full cooperation with Israel's navy which accepted responsibility to train IPC's staff in port protection.
