An announcement was made last week that the luxury cruise ship ms Amsterdam of the Holland America Cruise Lines will dock in the Ashdod port next Thursday ,as part of its 105-days2007 Grand World Voyage, around the world.
The 2007 Grand World Voyage departed from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 15, 2007 returning on April 30, 2007 with visits to 38 unique ports found in 26 different countries across six continents.
The entire voyage encompasses more than 33,400 nautical miles as it sails through the Panama Canal on the way to South America, the South Pacific, Australia, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, India, the Arabian Peninsula, the Suez Canal, Egypt, and the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic via Madeira on the way back to New York and Ft. Lauderdale.
