Germany's Hamburg Sd will reconfigure, as from mid December, its North Europe-South Mediterranean Service (NESM).
In a press release issued last week by Associated Maritime Agencies Ltd, Hamburg Sd port agents in Israel, the company noted that:" NESM will be operated with five units with capacities ranging from 2,500 to 2,700 TEU.
The new rotation is: Ashdod – Haifa - Mersin – Ashdod – Alexandria – Felixstowe – Antwerp – Hamburg – Tangiers – Alexandria - Ashdod.

Mr. Yoram Hoffman, director general of Associated Maritime Agencies Ltd. added that the new service configuration provides for comprehensive port coverage and fast transit times from and to North Europe.
For the first time the service will offer three calls at Israeli ports. The additional call at Ashdod will enable the company offer superior service to the business community in general and the agriculture sector in the south of Israel, in particular.
