The Ministry of Transportation, in partnership with the Innovation Authority, has issued a new call for support for advanced technological pilots in the field of smart transportation. This is part of the Ministry's commitment to encourage innovation in transportation and as part of a broad government move to embed breakthrough Israeli technologies in the field.
The call is open to Israeli technology companies offering solutions to Israel's transportation challenges, with an emphasis on reducing congestion and road traffic, encouraging the use of public transportation, improving road safety, preparing for climate change, and reducing emissions through clean energy.
The selected initiatives will receive regulatory support, connection to local authorities, and collaboration with infrastructure bodies and government offices, with the aim of testing solutions in a real environment and accelerating the transition to smart, accessible, and sustainable transportation.
Transportation Minister Miri Regev said, 'The Ministry of Transportation under my leadership aims to turn Israel into an innovation lab for the transportation of tomorrow. We are constantly investing in the identification and promotion of innovative technological solutions that will make transportation in Israel smarter, safer, accessible, and sustainable. The call is a real opportunity for Israeli companies to demonstrate how innovative ideas can become a reality on the ground - and affect our daily lives.'
The Director of Innovation at the Ministry of Transportation, Daniela Gra Margaliot, said, 'We are working to turn Israel into a space that allows the trial and growth of smart transportation solutions - not just in theory, but actually on the ground. The call is part of a multi-year track built in collaboration with the Innovation Authority, to bridge between groundbreaking ideas from the industry and the challenges faced by road users, regulators, and local authorities. We see Israeli technology companies as partners in shaping the future of transportation - transportation that will be smarter, safer, more sustainable, and more accessible, and we look forward to seeing the new wave of solutions that will be selected.'
The call is open for submission until Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 12:00. Information and submission forms are available on the Innovation Authority's website.
