A special Manufacturers Association committee set up by Manufacturers Association President Shraga Brosh in order to study lessons from the last Lebanon crisis issued last week its long expected recommendations to the Israeli industrial sector.
The committee recommends that companies should be prepared for a period of at least 8 weeks during which the country would be under emergency situation.
The committee also recommends that companies will furnish some 65% of the staff with personal protective elements such as special vests and helmets and prepare shelters for at least 70% of the staff.
Companies are recommended to purchase electrical generators and be ready to rely on self supply of electric power for at least 96 hours. Companies are also recommended to keep emergency stock of fresh water, 5 liters per person, and enough fuel to last for at least 96 hours.
