Gov. Brian Sandoval of Nevada announced he will head trade missions to Israel in order to drum up more business to assist the state of Nevada to climb out of economic doldrums. No date for the trade trip has been set.
The announcement was made at the annual luncheon of the newly renamed Las Vegas Regional Economic Development Council - formerly the Nevada Development Authority.
In an interview after his speech, Sandoval noted that the trip to Israel is important because there are many potential economic partnerships on mainly two fronts: First, Israel is continuously seeking business opportunities in Nevada to expand its information technology sector.
