Total bilateral trade in 2011, according to the manufacturers association, was down by 23% due to drastic fall in natural gas imported to Israel
The foreign trade division at the Israel manufacturers association, reported last week that Israel's export to Egypt experienced 40% growth in 2011 reaching a total of US$209 million.
Export of chemical products was US$118 million, up 57% compared to 2010, which explains the large increase in exports.
Import from Egypt was slightly up despite continuous terror attacks on the supply of gas from Egypt.
