Investigators from the Drug Unit and passenger hall inspectors at Tel Aviv Customs seized a passenger returning from Cambodia on Saturday night with approximately 30,000 Viagra and Kamagra pills in his suitcase, estimated to be worth about 450,000 shekels. The pills were intended for distribution to the general public, and the passenger tried to bring them into the country while evading a large amount of tax and risking public health, as the pills were without approval from the Ministry of Health.
The suspect, Moshe Levi, returned from Cambodia after a five-day stay with a suitcase and entered the green lane, which constitutes a declaration that the passenger passing through it does not have goods that require declaration. During the passage, he was directed for a physical examination by the customs inspectors in the passenger hall.
During the examination, it was found that the suitcase contained commercial quantities of Kamagra and Viagra pills, which he did not declare as required by law, without any additional contraband.
The suspect was brought before a magistrate in Rishon Lezion, who decided on his release under restrictive conditions. The investigation continues.
