The Central Bureau of Statistics said last Thursday that Israel's unemployment rate rose to 6.6% of the civilian workforce in October, from 6.5% in September and 6.4% in May-June.
The unemployment rate started to increase in 2008 and peaked at 7.7% in May 2009, due to the global weakening economy, which is now recovering.
