The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reported last week that in July 2006 industrial output was up by a seasonally adjusted 1.3%, and by a seasonally adjusted 7.2% in the three months period May-July.
According to the CBS, trend figures indicate an annualized 13.5% growth in industrial output in the three months period - May-July, compared with 12.7% in the earlier three months period February-April.
Industrial output in January-July was 7.5% higher, compared with the parallel period of 2005.
The CBS also noted that in January-July the number of industrial employees rose 3%, and work-hours per employee rose 2.6%.
