A delegation of indian businesswomen visited Federation of Israeli Chamber of Commerce

A delegation of 15 indian businesswomen  who belong to the FICCILO (federation of Indian chambers of commerce & industry ladies organization), paid a visit to  the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce (FICC).
 
The delegation headed by  Mrs. Namita Gautam, FICCILO's chairwoman,  told reporters that Indian businesswomen are not only keen to develop business contacts with Israeli industries but also regard bilateral trade between both countries essential.
 
Mr. Gautam reiterated that the existing opportunities in the bilateral trade which are not yet exploited have large potential for the benefit of both countries.
 
The delegation was welcomed by Mrs. Nili Cariv, presidum member of the IFCC.
 
During the two hours long visit delegates discussed issues of mutual interests for future co-operation :  education,  labour force, insurance,  food & beverage and industrial products.
 
In 2003, total  bilateral trade between India and Israel stood at US$ 460 m (exports US$ 189m Imports 270m).
