Korean Air will start cargo flights between Seoul and Tel Aviv on November 20. The carrier will operate a 747-400F freighter once a week on this route
Mr. Eran Zilberman, director general of Turbo Cargo GSA, Korean Air agent in Israel, said last week that Korean Air will begin regular cargo flights operations between Seoul and Tel Aviv starting November 20th.
Zilberman added that the first two flights will be charter flights which will take off from Seoul on November 20th and 27th and will return on Monday morning back to Korea. Regular cargo flights will be officially inaugurated on December 18th.
The carrier will operate a 747-400F freighter once a week on this route.
Cargo flown out of Tel Aviv and destined to other Far Eastern destinations will be flown out of Incheon international airport through Korean Air, Far Eastern cargo network.
Korean Air, with a fleet of 117 aircraft, is one of the world's top 20 airlines, and operates almost 400 passenger flights per day to 93 cities in 32 countries. It is a founding member of SkyTeam, the global airlines alliance.
Korean Air has also been elected as the number one commercial cargo carrier for the past two consecutive years.
