Directorate approved last week the legality of electronic exchange/presentation of Commercial Invoice, Packing List, AWB
Following an air cargo community meeting initiated by IATA Israel, Israeli Customs Directorate approved last week the legality of electronic exchange/presentation of Commercial Invoice, Packing List, AWB and the related documents to the custom broker's declaration within the scope of the customs clearance process.
The approval granted by the Israeli Customs Directorate has cleared almost all "road blocks" for the full application of the paperless e-freight initiative.
The industry has now to adopt electronic exchange methods to replace the paper documents which are presently required by customs to support air cargo customs clearance processes.
