Iberia is to increase capacity on two of the 14 weekly flight the company operates on this route starting Sep. 1st
Iberia Airlines (Lםneas Aיreas de Espaסa, S.A.) announced plans to increase weekly seat capacity by 13% on the Madrid-Tel Aviv route by using large A-340 aircraft on two of the 14 weekly flights. The airline will commence the plan on 01-Sept-08.
The A-340s, which Iberia flies mainly on long-haul intercontinental routes, will be used on flights between Madrid and Tel Aviv on Mondays and Saturdays. The use of the A-340s on two Madrid-Tel Aviv flights raises Iberia’s weekly cargo capacity on route up to 70 tones.
Iberia expects to significantly increase freight capacity between Spain and Israel, and also between Israel and the rest of Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
In the past three years Iberia has nearly quadrupled its seat capacity on the Madrid-Tel Aviv route.
