El Al is the first Israeli company to qualify for this standart, for the second year in a row
The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme, an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline, has named El Al the winner of the Operational Safety Audit program (IOSA), for the second year in a row.
Captain Lior Yavor, vice president of operations at El-Al, said following the announcement that "The IOSA is the strictest airline safety standard there is, and El Al is proud to be the first Israeli company to qualify for it, for the second consecutive year”.
The IOSA program, which evaluates systems designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline, as well as its safety procedures, is considered the strictest of its kind. IOSA uses internationally recognized quality audit principles and is designed to conduct audits in a standardized and consistent manner. IATA is the umbrella organization for international airlines. The group numbers 234 of the world's leading passenger and cargo airlines, and represents 94% of all international air traffic.
