Fuel surcharges would rise US$10 per leg for short-haul flights, US$17 for medium-haul, US$23 for long-haul routes
El Al Israel Airlines announced last week it was raising fuel surcharges by up to USD$23 per journey, effective from October 29, in response to rising oil prices.
El Al said on Thursday fuel surcharges would rise: US$10 per leg for short-haul flights, US$17 for medium-haul, US$23 for long-haul routes.
El Al said that the fuel surcharge revision will not affect bonus tickets exercised by members of its frequent flyers club. (Frequent flier miles).
El Al had raised fuel charges by US$25 per flight in May when oil prices reached US$60 a barrel.
