El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. said last week it sold two aging Boeing 767-200s long-range aircraft for a total of about $13 million ($6.5 million each).
The planes, built in 1983, will be sold to an airline in the Philippines and to an investment company in Singapore.
The sale is expected to be completed in September and is part of El Al's fleet renewal program.
El Al has five new 737s on order. The first two, leased, will arrive in August and October of this year. The remaining three, bought for $145 million, will join the fleet at the beginning of 2009.
Earlier this year the airline ordered four Boeing 777-200ER planes for $540 million.
