Data published last week by the Israel Airports Authority show that some 983,491 international passengers on 6,766 international flights passed through Ben-Gurion Airport in October 2007, an increase of 18.4% above the parallel month in 2006. The number of domestic travelers also increased, as 35,725 passengers departed from or arrived at Ben-Gurion, a jump of 15.5% from October 2006. The airport handled 7,716 flights in October.
In total, just over 1 million passengers flew into and out of the airport, bringing the total for the year to 8,750,363, more than 14.3% above numbers on the corresponding period of last year.
