New Collective Agreement for Challenge Airlines Pilots

Challenge Airlines and Histadrut have signed a new collective agreement for the company's pilots, offering significant benefits and wage increases.

Histadrut and Challenge Airlines (Israel), a company specializing in air cargo transportation, signed a new collective agreement yesterday that regulates the employment conditions of the company's pilots for the years 2025-2028.

The agreement, led by the Transport Workers' Union in Histadrut, includes a series of significant achievements and benefits for the pilots, including substantial wage additions and increases for pilots, the introduction of an annual 13th salary, excellence and perseverance grants that encourage professionalism and long-term commitment, updating job supplements and improving compensation mechanisms for reserve service, flight cancellations and waiver of rest days, and expanding social benefits.

A Histadrut spokesperson stated that the agreement expresses a proper balance between the company's needs and the working conditions of the pilots, and it strengthens the professional status of the aircrew and their employment conditions, recognizing the importance of creating an attractive work environment for pilots, now and in the future, and the resilience of the company.

The CEO of the Transport and Ports Workers' Union, Adv. Roi Blitenthal, said: "I congratulate the company and the pilots on the important agreement that was signed, which is another milestone in the growing partnership between the company's management, Histadrut, and the pilots. The agreement significantly improves the pilots' lifestyle and working conditions on the one hand, and will serve to maximize commercial value and commercial output for the company on the other hand."

The CEO of Challenge Airlines Israel, Udi Sharon, said: "A great agreement was signed today for both the employees and the company, which marks the way for our amazing group of pilots to continue to grow and develop in the company. I thank everyone who took part in the effort and the journey, and especially for the fact that we work together so well for the pilots."
